NOVA Inducts Landon Overby into the Hall of Honor

NOVA established the Hall of Honor to commemorate those members who have demonstrated a lifetime of dedication, service, and leadership on behalf of veterans. The Hall of Honor serves to not only acknowledge a commitment to lifelong achievement, but to provide a source of inspiration for both new and experienced practitioners.

This year’s inductee, Landon Overby, was a service-connected disabled veteran of the U.S. Navy, a non-attorney practitioner, and accredited VA claims agent for CCK and DAV, among others, before passing away in March of 2023 at the young age of 50. Members describe him as “instrumental in establishing ongoing case law in the field of VA benefits.”

He represented over 2,500 veterans or their dependents before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and reached numerous settlement agreements with VA that resulted in a direct award of benefits for his clients. He also presented 18 oral arguments in appeals before the Court. He was a member of NOVA for 15 years and presented at many NOVA conferences.
