Registration for NOVA's 2022 Spring Conference is Open!

Registration for NOVA's 2022 Spring Conference is Open!

The NOVA 2022 Spring Conference will be held in Scottsdale, Arizona. This conference is intended for both new and experienced veterans law practitioners. The seminar will increase your knowledge, confidence, and expertise in representing veterans before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). In addition, your time may be credited to your jurisdiction’s CLE requirements. We hope you join us!

New Schedule Format: We are excited to announce a new format for the Spring 2022 Conference in Scottsdale!

We will begin by hosting our General Session and exhibits on Thursday & Friday (3/17 & 3/18).  The reception will be held on Thursday evening.  Based on comments from previous conference surveys, we are shifting some of our standard programming to new time slots and we’ve added a speaker Q&A session at the end of the day on Friday.

Our Basic Session will be held on Saturday, 3/19, with a smaller “workshop” design.  Lunch will be provided.  Attendees will be in four breakout rooms (holding approximately 40 people per room).  The presenters will “travel” from room to room with ample opportunity for questions/discussion with the presenters and your fellow attendees.

Hybrid Option:  For the Spring 2022 conference, NOVA will offer a hybrid option for our General Session ONLY on Thursday and Friday (3/17 & 3/18, 2022). Attendees who are unable to travel to attend the conference in person can register to attend via our virtual platform.  Please note, due to the format of the Basic Session, which will be held on Saturday (3/19, 2022), we are UNABLE to offer a hybrid option for that day of sessions.

Regardless of whether you attend the General Session in person or virtually, you will receive all relevant materials, watch the sessions live, and be able to participate in the Q&A portion of the session via the Conferences I/O app.  NOVA has the ability to convert to a fully virtual event should there be any shutdowns due to the pandemic.  Please be sure to select the correct option when you register.

Health and Safety Requirements:

  • As we did for the fall event, all in-person attendees must provide proof of vaccination for COVID-19 in advance.  The CDC currently states an individual is fully vaccinated two weeks after their second dose in a two-dose series or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine.  Please note: Should the CDC modify the definition to include a booster, we will require proof of a booster.  We do not store your vaccine card copies, but if you attended the fall conference, you will not need to resubmit your information.  At this time and for this conference, there will be no exceptions made.
  • You will be required to sign a new waiver. Please click HERE to download the waiver for this event.
  • NOVA will follow the masking requirements of the locality at the time of the conference.  Currently, Scottsdale does not require masks in indoor public spaces.
