I'm a former Veterans Law Judge at the Board of Veterans' Appeals (BVA); former attorney law clerk at the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC); former member of the CAVC’s Rules Advisory Committee; former Vice-Chair of the Federal Circuit Bar Association's Veterans Appeals Committee; Past-President and Treasurer of the CAVC Bar Association, a founding member and Past-President of the CAVC Historical Society, and a former staff attorney in BVA’s Office of Quality Review. I am currently a member of the National Organization of Veterans' Advocates Congressional Committee. I am also the 2025-2026 Chair-Elect of the State Bar of Texas Military and Veterans Law Section
I have also published multiple articles about veterans benefits law and have served as a speaker or moderator for veterans law presentations sponsored by such groups as the CAVC Bar Association, Federal Circuit Bar Association, National Organization of Veterans' Advocates, CAVC Judicial Conference, University of Georgia, William & Mary Law School, George Washington University Law School, Washington & Lee Law School, Texas Tech Law School, the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, VA Regional Offices and the Board of Veterans’ Appeals.
