Nicholas grew up in the St. Louis Metro East suburbs and attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. At Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, he majored in Political Science. He then moved to Columbia, Missouri to attend law school at the University Of Missouri School Of Law. While there, he began working in the University of Missouri School of Law Veterans Clinic providing pro-bono assistance to veterans. It was during his time with the Veterans Clinic that Nicholas realized that he had found an area of the law that was both challenging and extremely rewarding.
Subsequent to graduation in 2015, he wanted to continue helping veterans who had been wrongfully denied their benefits by the Department of Veterans Affairs. His desire to help those who served our country led him to a career with the law firm of Hill & Ponton in Orlando, FL.
In 2018, Nicholas left the firm of Hill & Ponton and began his own practice, The Simpson Legal Group where he continues to help veterans obtain disability benefits wrongly denied to them by the VA.
In addition to his work with the firm, Nicholas has presented on veterans benefits at the University of Missouri. Most recently he spoke regarding how to effectively represent clients with PTSD and traumatic brain injuries (TBI).
