Congratulations to Tamesha N. Larbi and Adam R. Luck who received the Distinguished Advocate Award at NOVA’s Spring 2022 Conference!
Through the generosity of a planned donation by a long-time member, NOVA is launching this new award. The Distinguished Advocate Award is designed to recognized talent deserving wider recognition, specifically those who work in niche areas of VA law, often without recognition and/or contribute in some other quiet way to the betterment of NOVA and/or the veterans law profession.
Tamesha N. Larbi - Tamesha is a NOVA member and solo practitioner at Larbi Legal. She has an extensive military background, having served 23 years in the Army. She is a steady presence on the NOVA groups, providing members with useful knowledge and contacts. She brings knowledge of some of the difficult niche areas to our members, e.g., issues impacting Guard and reservist members.
Adam R. Luck - Adam is the second recipient of the Distinguished Advocate Award. One of the founders of GloverLuck, Adam’s work in the Kernz case has already had a broad impact, as it was through his efforts that the Board of Veterans’ Appeals flagged its issuance of potentially thousands of erroneous letters wrongly dismissing active appeals as untimely. He was lead counsel in the Hatfield case, where the US Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims provided relief to a widow
